We loved the remote location and the property was really well presented. The views over the valley from the tree hanging from the big tree was awesome!! This was better than i had imagined. Just you and nature with all the 5 star comfort! It was unique and very special.
Ministers plotted to hide existence of giant Cold War bunker from the public
Home interior and design was nicely done very good use of space , air and light. We come here for the remoteness and somewhere we could send some quality time together. It was the perfect little place. We spent some time around the local area and walking near by. The decoy bunker is a cute little place to stay, would recommend and will be booking again.
We got everything we wanted from the weekend.
The decoy bunker was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing places we have stayed and I will definitely be returning soon! The sound of the rain coupled with the warmth of the log fire made for a truly calming environment. Just a shame we only booked a two night stay because I cerainly could have stayed for longer!
It's a lovely place to stay for a few days! It's in beautiful Welsh countryside where you feel away from it all. Can't hear any traffic, just the birds! Stayed at the Decoy Bunker as part of my Husbands birthday celebration. It was warm and comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay.
Wisconsin fugitive survives 3 years in makeshift bunker
The location is perfect. We had an amazing time at The Decoy Bunker! The bunker is in a really beautiful and rural part of Monmouthshire, and when we woke up we were stunned by the views out over the Bristol Channel. The space itself is so cosy and comfortable, especially with the wood-burner going and we loved hearing the pitter patter of raindrops on the skylight above.
When the shutters are closed on the windows, you really do feel underground and that added to our great experience. In summer, I could imagine eating outside and watching sunsets over the hills, or reading in the swinging chair! All in all, it was a really blissful experience.
